Miss Teen Rodeo Montana 2007

Lorissa Harris, the 17 year old daughter of
Todd Harris and Linda Rest of Shepherd, was named Miss Teen Rodeo Montana 2007 in
front of a crowd of 100 at the Great Falls Hampton Inn Sunday morning. Along with the title,
Harris swept all of the category awards, including
the Style Show Award, Photogenic Award, Speech Award, Horsemanship,
Personality, Appearance, and Projection & Presentation. Alyson
Grinestaff Red Lodge of
Kalispell was named 1st Runner Up.
Contestants competed for four days in a
rigorous competition involving horseback riding; giving a 3-minute
speech on the State of Montana, modeling in a Style Show, answering
impromptu questions, and being interviewed privately by the judges.
Judges for the contest were Mike Lorash of Fishtail, MT; Jeanine Shepard
of Manhattan, MT; and Suzanne Brownell of Wyarno, Wyoming.
Lorissa succeeds Audrey Sholty, 18, from
Missoula.
Lorissa
currently attends Shepherd High School and has been
active with Tennis, Cheerleading, Golf, and the National
Honor Society. She is a member of FCCLA, the Shepherd
FFA, the American Angus Association, and the American
Quarter Horse Association. Two of her favorite sports
are tennis and golf. She also enjoys showing reining
horses, skiing, and trail riding with her mother. She
has held the title of Miss Rodeo State Fair for
2005-2006, Miss Dillon Jaycee Princess 2004-2005, was
the Montana Angus Queen for 2005-2005, and Montana Angus
Princess 2003. Lorissa plans to attend MSU-Bozeman
after graduating from High School, and major in Business
and Pre-Law. Her greatest ambition is to one day
represent Montana as Miss Rodeo Montana.
