Miss Rodeo Montana 1999 presented with fox vest
The new Miss Rodeo Montana was coronated the morning
of January 17,1999 in Great Falls. MTA President, Ed Hebbe III, and
Recording Secretary, Ed Hebbe IV, once again presented the new queen
with a fur garment. This year's winner received a red and arctic fox
vest, which was created specifically for the event by Craig Swick of
Papparazzi Fur in Big Sky, Montana.
This year saw six contestants from all parts of
Montana vying for the prestigious honor of representing Montana as the
state rodeo queen.
Miss Mariah Sinerius, 21, was graced with the honor
of being chosen as this year's Miss Rodeo Montana. And, as Miss Rodeo
Montana 1998, Misty Brookman, was also a second-time contestant in the
pageant.
Mariah is the daughter of Char and Allen Sinerius.
She is a graduate of Capitol High School in Helena and is attending
Montana State University, pursuing a degree in communications. In high
school, Mariah was active as a cheerleader and on the rodeo team, and
served as Miss Last Chance Stampede in 1996. She enjoys rodeo, barrel
racing, skiing, traveling, hiking, dancing, designing western clothing
and swimming. She has been a Bible camp instructor and counselor and has
a CPR, first aid, and lifeguard license. Mariah seeks a career in public
relations or the media.
Be sure to introduce yourself to Mariah at a rodeo or
other function where she'll be attending near you this summer, and thank
her for representing trapping and rodeo in a positive manner.
