Winning the title of Miss Teen Rodeo Montana 2011 was Amy Hager, the 17 year old daughter of Rob and Laura Hager of Clyde Park. She is a Junior at Shields Valley High School where she is involved in the National FFA organization, Business Professionals of America, National Honor Society, and a member of the basketball and volleyball teams. She is the Shields Valley FFA Chapter Secretary and represented Montana at the National FFA Convention where she placed 3rd in the nation in the job interview competition. She enjoys rodeo, working cattle, showing horses and hogs and playing sports. Her future plans include attending college to pursue a career in newscast and is also exploring areas of agricultural education in Montana. Hager swept the awards for the Teen portion of the Pageant, with the exception of the Speech Award which went to Kinsey’s Bridget Gustad. Jennika O’Neil of Raynesford was named First Runner-Up to Hager. Hager succeeded Libby Gurnett of Helena, a Freshman at Montana State University in Bozeman. Gurnett was presented with a $250 educational scholarship. Also competing in the Teen Pageant were Bridget Gustad of Kinsey; Courtney Bruce of Laurel; Blake Theroux of Lolo; and Jeana Wagner of Whitehall.
Both new titleholders were on hand for the final performance of the Montana Pro Rodeo Circuit Finals to assist with the awards presentations.
