2005 Miss Rodeo Montana Contestants & Standings

Montana 2005 *

Appearance, Projection & Presentation *
Brooke Lynn Vosen is the 24 year old daughter
of Alan Gagne of Simms and Mary Lynn Vosen of
Fairfield. A graduate of Power High School with honors,
Brooke Lynn currently attends Montana State University
in Bozeman. She is a nationally certified Yoga
instructor, and holds a national mediation
certification. She was the MSU Freshman of the Year in
2000, MSU Community Involvement Coordinator of the Year
in 2000, as well as the 2000 MSU Homecoming Queen. She
has served as Miss Livingston Roundup in 2002 and won
the Miss Montana Interview Award in 2003. She is a
member of the MSU Dean’s List, the Ballroom Dancing
Team, the Horseman’s Club, and the Livingston Roundup
Committee. She has worked with the MSU Foundation’s
Fundraising Director, and the MSU Athletic Fundraising
VP. Brooke Lynn plans to graduate with a degree in
Political Science and would like to pursue a Master’s in
International Law. She enjoys volunteering with
Guardian AdLitem, the Child Advocacy Program, and Eagle
Mount; she also enjoys dancing, biking, figure skating,
reading, traveling, and riding.

Colleen Dunn is the 20 year old daughter of
Douglas Dunn of Livingston and Vicki Howell of
Anchorage, Alaska. A graduate of Park Senior High, she
was active with State FFA, is a certified Montana
Superhost Program Recipient, a recipient of the Everett
Johnson Scholarship, is a licensed amateur radio
operator, and also operates a successful Shih Tzu
breeding program. Colleen was the 2004 Livingston
Roundup Queen. Having attended both the University of
Montana and Montana State University, she plans to
return to MSU to finish her education. She would also
like to pursue a certification in Equine Massage and
other alternative medicine. She enjoys riding,
training, rodeo, scrapbooking and crafting, camping,
working out, and volunteering.

Callie Freeman is the 22 year old daughter of
Jeff and Maria Freeman of Clinton. A graduate of
Hellgate High School, Callie has served as Miss Rodeo
Western Montana and Miss Dillon Jaycee. Currently she
is the Miss Dillon Jaycee Pageant Director and is a
senior at the University of Montana-Western. She is a
member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association,
and is President and Team Captain of the UMW Equestrian
Team. She is on the Dean’s list and has been a Dennis
Washington Scholarship recipient. Callie will graduate
this May with a degree in Business Administration and
Tourism Recreation. She would like to pursue a career
in Marketing as an event director for destination
resorts in Montana and work with the Montana Chamber of
Commerce. Callie enjoys rodeo, volleyball, leather
crafting, traveling, and skiing.

Cassidy Han is the 20 year old daughter of
Allen and Barbara Han of Inverness. A graduate of Blue
Sky High School, she was active with basketball
(all-state), volleyball (all-state), and track and
field. Currently she is a junior at Carroll College
where she has been an intramural basketball champion,
and is on the Dean’s list. She served as Miss Northern
Montana Rodeo and is also a member of the National
Intercollegiate Rodeo Association. This past summer she
worked as a firefighter with the Helena Helitack and has
also interned with the Montana Historical Society.
Cassidy plans to continue pursuing her degree in history
and is interested in teaching college history along with
researching and writing a historical fiction novel.
She enjoys basketball, volleyball, firefighting,
snowboarding, rodeo, reining, flying in helicopters,
singing, and spending time with friends.

Kristin Gustad is the 22 year old daughter of
Jeff and Cathleen Gustad of Kinsey. An honors graduate
of Custer County District High School, Kristin has
served as the Miss Southeastern Montana Rodeo Queen, was
Northwest College’s sophomore student senate rep, and
has won numerous awards in State 4-H competition and FFA.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree from
BYU-Idaho where she was an honors graduate and named
Outstanding Student of the College of Agriculture, also
attended Northwest College in Powell, Wyoming where she
was named to Who’s Who in American College Students and
Outstanding Student for Physical Sciences. Currently
she is attending the University of Nebraska/Lincoln on a
full assistantship scholarship, pursuing a Master’s
degree in Ruminant Nutrition. She plans to continue her
education to earn a Doctorate in Ruminant Microbiology.
Kristin enjoys livestock judging, working with youth,
playing the piano, and traveling.

Sarah Huston is the 20 year old daughter of
Jim and Carol Huston. She is a graduate of Capital High
School and is currently a Junior at the University of
Montana Western. In High School she was active in 4-H
and Rodeo Club as well as a member of the Honor Roll.
She is a member of the Order of Rainbow for Girls and
has held several State Offices. She is also a member of
the Order of the Eastern Star and the Daughters of the
Nile. She served as Miss Southwest Montana in 2004 and
2003, and is currently a member of the UM Western Rodeo
Team and Equestrian Team. Sarah plans to graduate with
a Bachelor’s Degree in Secondary Education and would
like to teach business and computer science. She also
plans to be active with youth and agricultural
programs. Sarah enjoys riding horses, rodeo, watching
football and hockey, and barrel racing.
